Paarl was the host of the final Athletix Grand Prix series. This initiative, brings all athletes together for an evening of high paced athletics. A first for Paarl, the crowds were entertained by the likes of Caster Semenya, Akina Simbine, Dominique Scott and many more. We also had our local heroes, Henricho Bruintjies and Ruswahl Samaai, who both performed on their home turf. The event was however clouded by some miscommunication that cancelling the event was on the cards. Thankfully the administrators managed to sort things out and really hosted an entertaining evening.
