Decided to go visit the The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA) at the Waterfront, and wow, what an experience.
The Gallery is now, what use to be the old iconic waterfront silos (picture below), a pure mastery of architecture and a sight to behold, both inside and outside.

Arrived at the Gallery to the sound of some live music, and an awesome buzz of people all around the entrance. A few people spinning on the ‘spin-chairs’, and a others adoring the Cape Town view. Ample parking was available below the Gallery, and quick access from there to the entrance.
Entrance to the Gallery is half price on every first Friday of the month, and is open from 4pm to 9pm. Bookings were made at Computicket, and we paid R180 a head.
Finally entered the Gallery and the views are not short of breath taking, and amazing how they managed to keep the outer shell of the silos, and renovate them to such an amazing work of art. They even left the grain feeders on the ground floor, protruding from the lower roof. Standing in the centre Gallery floor, looking up, is a see-through roof, which lights up the entire entrance area. I could go on and on, but its definitely something you have to see and experience yourself.
The Gallery boasts 6 floors of various art and sculptures, with the last floor, the see-through glass floor, for some awesome views. There is quite a number of flights of stairs, so wear some comfortable attire.
Do yourself a favour and go visit this Gallery, it is genuinely an amazing experience.
